– FFRENCH ABU-BAKR AL-FRANSI, 13, KILLED IN SYRIA
*Abu Bakr al-Fransi (from France ), originally from Strasbourg, arrived in Syria with his family and two of his brothers in 08/2014, is believed to be the youngest to die fighting for Islamic State in Syria. He was killed, probably already in 05/2015. when Government forces attacked a border post he was guarding near the Western city of Homs, it has been reported.
Travelling with a camper van, Abu Bakr al-Fransi’s parents took him and six of his siblings to the IS de-facto capital of Raqqa. The family eventually remained in IS-controlled territory, joining the jihadi group.
Photographs of some of the young brothers posing with Kalashnikov rifles were posted online shortly after the family settled there.
One of them, said to be aged 10, featured in a propaganda video where he was briefly interviewed alongside another child from Toulouse.
The family already lost another son Nadir in 10/2014.
* A FRENCH JEW, RAFAEL AMAR, KILLED IN SYRIA
* Rafael Amar, 22, a French citizen hose father is Jewish died in 10/2014 in Deir ez-Zor in Syria’s east, according to a report Tuesday 11/11/2014 by the Israeli daily Maariv. The report was confirmed by Sammy Ghozlan, founder of the National Bureau for Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism, or BNVCA.
Rafael Amar from Lunel, France, observed Jewish Holiday’s celebrated his Bar Mitzvah, and was on his way to a promising career in computers. He converted to Islam, and got carried away by extremists.
Raphael Amar, whose mother was born Catholic, according to the Actualite Juive weekly, converted to Islam in 2010 and followed a childhood friend to Syria earlier in 2014 to fight with the Islamic State Sunni jihadist group. The family received the news of his death on 10/17/2014 Rafael Amar’s body remains in Syria.
“I myself am not very close to religion, but when Raphael was a young boy he attended Passover seders and bar mitzvahs,” Amar’s father, Laurent, told Maariv. Rafael Amar’s sister imegrated to Israel and is serving in the Israeli Army – the IDF.
