DETROIT’S MOSQUE THREATENED BY TERROR
On Monday 01/24/2011, Dearborn Police arrested a California man on suspicion of attempting a terrorist act at the Dearborn Mosque, 63 year old Roger Stockham was found in the Mosque’s parking lot with explosive materials.
Dearborn Mosque is the biggest mosque in metro Detroit and is located nearby the Islamic Center of America in Ford Road.
Roger Stockham was arraigned on Wednesday on one count of a false report or threat of terrorism (a 20 year felony), and one count of explosives possession of bombs with unlawful intent (a 15 year felony) for possession of Class C fireworks. Bond has been set at $500,000. If Roger Stockham can post bond, he will be required to wear a GPS Tether.
A preliminary exam is scheduled for Friday February 4, 2011 before the Honorable Judge Mark Somers at the 19th District Court in Dearborn.
