As “Brigade 30” joined the fight in chaotic Syria it endured a campaign of kidnappings by the Nusra Front, including some of their officers According to reports from Syria, on Thursday 08/06/2015, ‘Brigade 30’ have declared their refusal to fight Al Qaeda’s affiliate in the country – Jabhat al-Nusra. A source in the U.S.-backed group claimed those captured (actually all the group) were families of the Nusra front fighters, a bizarre excuse raising a serious question about American connection with reality and about the real lessons to be learned from the so weired events.
But actually, since the event was characterised not as a failure but as a “family reunion”, nothing was changed in the basic approach to the “brigade 30” project.
Indeed on 09/22/2015 a second group of 70 “Brigade 30” fighters entered to Syria, that time from the ”trusted ally” Turkey. They even did not bazer to pretend as if they are fighting any enemy, instead they harried to surrender themselves and their weapons stockpile to Jabhat al-Nusra. USA was and is also the main supplier of weapons and ammunition to I.S.I.S in Iraq when the Iraqi Army fled and faded away in summer 2014. It marks the latest setback for the $500m (£327m) programme to train and equip moderate rebels to take on IS on the ground in Syria,
Actually American “Division 30” project is a reflection of the general “touch with reality” of USA concerning the Middle East . It could be an amazing joke only that it is so real and so confusing .
