ankaradoubleOn Saturday 10/10/2015, at about 10:00, two bombs exploded near the main train station in Ankara. Turkey’s capital, where people began to gether for a peace rally, sheduled to begin at 12:00, protesting the war against the Kurds in Southeastern Turkey. According to reports around 97 people were killed, according tolatest reports,  in the premeditated double explosion and over 200 were injured according to the Turkish  interior ministry   he rally was organised by several leftist groups, including the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

Demonstrators angered by the attack on their fellow activists shouted “police murderers!” at the scene of the blasts but were then dispersed as the security forces intervened.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly denounced the attack.

“I strongly condemn this heinous attack on our unity and our country’s peace,” Erdogan said in a statement posted on the presidency’s website.

“No matter what its origin, aim or name, we are against any form of terrorist act or terrorist organisation. We are obliged to be against it together,” Erdogan said.

An attack in the predominantly Kurdish town of Suruc , on 07/20/2015 , targeting pro-HDP Kurdish  activists and blamed on Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) fighters killed 32 people and wounded a hundred others and triggered the war against the Kurds in Turkey despite allegedly blaming I.S.I.S for the event.

The armed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) accused Ankara of collaborating with ISIS and resumed attacks on the Turkish security forces after observing a two-year ceasefire.

The Islamic State, generally rushing to take responsibility, did not comment on the attack. Other potential suspects are Turkish Nationalists who strongly support the war against the Kurds and Tayyip Erdogan position.

* The initial investigation concluded that the double bombing was carried out by two suicide bombers and the Ankara prosecutor’s office was working to identify and carry out autopsies on the dead according to an official written statement .

2suanAccording to the findings of the investigation, on 10/14/2015 the attack was carried out by two suicide bombers identified as  the  older brother of the Suruc suicide bomber  ‘Sheikh’ Abdurrahman AlagozYunus Emre Alagöz (L) and Ömer Deniz Dündar (R).

Both suicide bombers were said to be part of an Isis cell from Adıyaman, a small city in the south-east of Turkey, where hundreds of young men, and sometimes women, are reported to have left to join the  Islamist State in Syria.

According to local media reports, both attackers were on a list of 21 potential suicide bombers compiled by the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) and widely circulated on social media in Turkey before the official disclosure of their identities. The two bombers were said to have travelled to Ankara in separate vehicles from Gaziantep province on the border with Syria.

The Turkish Police were searching for Alagöz in the aftermath of the Suruç bombing, fearing that he might commit a similar attack.

Ömer Deniz Dündar was in his early 20s when he left Adıyaman in 2013 to join an Islamist unit then affiliated with Al Qaeda. His father said .

* Ten suspects have been taken into custody in connection with suspicious posts appearing on Twitter, claiming an attack may take place in Ankara hours before the Ankara deadly bombings, Turkish premier revealed, on Thursday10/15/2015.

— Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said,  on Thursday 10/22/2915, he believed ISIS, Kurdish militants, and the Syrian “mukhabarat” secret police had all played a role in a double suicide bombing which killed more than 100 people in Ankara this month.

Putting together all enemies and adversaries of Turkey in one boat, despite bitter enmity between each other, as if they have a common interest against any peace prospect between Turkey and its Kurdish citizens suggests that A. President Tayyip Erdogan is manipulating the event and the public opinion ahead of the coming 11/01/2015 general poll  and B. That the likelihood of Turkey itself being behind the attack is  reasonable.
