*A couple , later identified as Syed Rizwan Farook (R), 28, from Pakistani descent, and Tashfeen Malik (L), 27, also from Pakistani origin, heavily armed with assault rifles and semi-automatic handguns, wore military-style clothing, entered, on Wednesday 12/02/2015 at about 11:00 bm, to an office Christmas party event at the Inland Regional social services Center in San Bernardino, California USA,. The couple opened fire immediately on the attenders killing 14 people on the spot and another 21 people were wounded .
San Bernardino is a city of about 200,000 people, 60 miles (100 km) east of Los Angeles. The Inland Regional Center specialises in helping adults with disabilities and mental health problems, but the shooting appeared to be unrelated to the patients.
Three possible explosive devices were found at the scene of the attack. All of which were disposed of. The three pipe bombs were stitched together on a remote control car . Suggesting a higher level of premeditated planning
The couple fled the shootout area with a black SUV getaway car. Hours later police raided an apartment complex in the nearby town of Redlands, the black SUV pulled away and a chase ensued. Then just two miles from the centre, police riddled the vehicle with gunfire killing the two suspects inside. One police officer was lightly injured.
A third person near the gun battle was detained, but police said it was unclear if that person had anything to do with the shooting.
Syed Rizwan Farook, born in USA and an American citizen. He graduated from California State University, San Bernardino, with a degree in environmental health in 2009 and had been a county employee at the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health for five years, San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said “Rizwan Farook had left the event under some circumstances that were described as angry” and returned with Tashfeen Malik. “They came prepared to do what they did, as if they were on a mission,” San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan added. Tashfeen Malik achieved American citizenship by virtue of her marriage to Farook .
* Initial report from the Los Angeles Times said that Rizwan Farook had married in the past six months. The Times said Rizwan Farook had traveled, in 07/2014, to Saudi Arabia and came back to the U.S. with a wife that he had met online. They Leave Behind a 6-Month-Old Child. Rizwan Farook’s colleagues reportedly said that he was a devout Muslim, but rarely discussed religion at work.
* According to Burguan, police found 12 pipe bombs and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition in the suspects’ home. The police chief said that the couple bought a pair of handguns on their own. But their two assault-style rifles, which are restricted in California, were purchased by someone who’s currently under police investigation. According to experts the materials found in the house, the pipe bombs and the usage of remote control car toys components are fit to the instructions distributed on the web through the INSPIRE Al Qaeda online magazine .
In total, the pair had over 1,400 .223 caliber rounds available to them and over 200 9mm rounds on them during the final gunbattle around their car .
Intelligence sources told NBC News that Rizwan Farook appeared to have been in some form of communication with with known Islamic radicals overseas who are persons of interest to American authorities.
According to CNN Rizwan Farook was radicalized and had been in contact with at least one person being investigated for terrorism, both by phone and on social media, prior to the shooting.
According to media reports in USA, on Friday 12/04/2015, Tashfeen Malik, on the day of the deadly attack the 12/02/2015, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS) group in an online Facebook account that used a different name. The post was later deleted .
According to officials familiar with the case Rizwan Farook% Tashfeen Malik also seem to have taken steps to remove information from cellphones and computer. Investigators found two relatively new, but smashed, cellphones in a garbage can near one of the crime scenes, A computer found at the couple’s home was missing a hard drive, and investigators suspect it may have been removed and destroyed.
The FBI told the New York Times that it has found evidence that Farook began deleting information from an electronic device he owned at least a day before the attack.
– It is entirely possible that these two attackers were radicalized to commit this act of terror,” President Barak Obama said in his weekly radio address Saturday 12/05/2015. “And if so, it would underscore a threat we’ve been focused on for years — the danger of people succumbing to violent extremist ideologies.”
During the years 2007-13 – Tashfeen Malik studied pharmacy, in Bahauddin Zakariya University in the southern city of Multan, Pakistan, soon after Tashfeen Malik, enrolled in an 18-month course to study the Quran in 2013.,A national spokeswoman for Al Huda, an international chain of religious schools geared toward educated and often affluent women, said that Ms. Malik stopped her religious studies with the group in 05/2014. officials said Monday 12/07/2015.
According to police reports the couple visited ranges in the Los Angeles area to practice shooting last time just a day before the attack.

According to FBI Director James Comey, In an appearance on Capitol Hill on Wednesday 12/09/2015, Tashfeen Malik and husband Syed Farook spoke of jihad and martyrdom during conversations on an online dating service in late 2013, suggesting that Islamic radicalization was the common ground of their initial acquaintance . They were “talking to each other about jihad and martyrdom before they became engaged and married and were living in the U.S.,” Mr. Comey said.

Syed Rizwan Farook also may have plotted an attack as far back as 2012 with a neighbor, identified as Enrique Marquez (pic-L), a Walmart clerk, who had converted to Islam and who had purchased, innocently, the two assault rifles used in the Inland Center shooting.
Enrique Marquez, 24, is the first person arrested in the deadliest terrorist attack in the USA since 9/11. was charged, on Thursday 12/17/2015, with plotting with gunman Syed Farook to attack a university in 2011 and 2012. He is also accused of illegally purchasing the two rifles that were used by Farook and Tashfeen Malik.
Enrique Marquez was denied bail, on Monday 12/21/2015, over charges including conspiring to provide material support to terrorism. He admitted in his interrogation he bought the .223-caliber DPMS model AR-15 and the Smith & Wesson M&P15 assault-style rifles used in the 12/02/2015 Inland Center massacre.
** Enrique Marquez was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday 12/30/2015 and accused of conspiring with San Bernardino shooter Sayed Rizwan Farook to provide material support to terrorists.
Marquez, who was arrested two weeks ago, also faces two counts of making a false statement when buying two rifles, one count of marriage fraud and one count of making a false statement on immigration paperwork.
