* Germaine Lindsay was born in Jamaica on 09/23/1985 to a Christian family. In the age of 5 month he moved with his mother to U.K, his biological father remained in Jamaica. Germaine Lindsaywith his mother settled down in West Yorkshire and later moved to Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. In his early life, Germaine Lindsay was described as a bright child, successful at school and good at sports but his home life was not so stable. During the years he had two stepfathers and was relatively close the second who remained with the family until 2000.
From early age Germaine Lindsay and his family lived on the margin of society and some reports suggested that he was a violent drug dealer in Aylesbury before he converted to Islam. At the age of 15, in 2000, Germaine Lindsay converted to Islam and later convinced his mother and future wife Samanta Lewthwaite, a native of Aylesbury, to convert to Islam too. Germaine Lindsay chose the Islamic name Abdullah Shaheed Jamal. He acquired good knowledge of Arabic very fast and memorized long passages of the Koran which earned him respect in his surroundings.
In 2002 his mother moved to USA to live with a third man and Germaine Lindsaywas left without any family in UK. Germaine Lindsay changed drastically after his conversion to Islam. He rejected his old friends and old habits and embraced totally a strict Islamic behavior. Most of the Muslim community in his neighborhood was from Pakistani descent.
Germaine Lindsay married at the age of 18 in 2003 and on the day of the London 7/7 suicide attack he was already a father to a young son. His wife Samanta Lewthwaite gave birth to their daughter two months after the suicide attack. He probably met Mohammad Sidique Khan, the ringleader of London 7/7 attack, in Hamara Youth Access Point (HYAP), an Islamic charity in Leeds, where both were active in local Islamic circles. By late 2004 they were certainly close associates.
On the morning of 07/07/2005 Germaine Lindsay, with three friends, drove a car that he has rented from Leeds to Luton, 30 km north of London, and took the train from Luton to King’s Cross Station in London. The car was left behind in Luton Station. Germaine Lindsay detonated his explosives on 08:56 after his train left Kings’ Cross Station toward Russell Square.
In his apartment the British police found videos of sermons conducted by the Jamaican Islamic cleric Sheik Abdullah el-Faisal.
