U.S SANCTIONED 6 DESIGNATED ISLAMIC TERRORISTS
The USA has added, on Friday 05/20/2016, the Islamic State group’s branches in Libya, Yemen and Saudi Arabia to its global terrorism blacklist and placed 6 men on its sanctions list as “specially designated global terrorists” the State Department said.
The designations freeze any US assets the groups may have and make it illegal for any American national to knowingly provide those groups or conspire to provide them with material support or resources.
Separately, the Treasury Department announced sanctions against 6 men it accused of providing financial support to terrorist groups. Five of them allegedly serve al Qaeda’s international organization, while the sixth is a key figure in the Islamic State’s operations in Libya and the Sinai.
Two of the newly designated jihadists. Abdullah Hadi Abd al-Rahman Fayhan Sharban al-Anizi & Abd al-Muhsin Zabin Mutib Naif al-Mutayri are based in Kuwait, but funnel financial and other support to Jabhat al-Nusra Front in Syria. A third jihadist is a former Sydney preacher commonly known as Abu Sulayman al Muhajir, whose real name is Mostafa Mahamed Farag(j) (pic-L), was an extremist preacher in Australia before relocating to Syria in early 2014 .
Two others, Nayif Salih Salim al-Qaysi & Ghalib Abdullah al-Zaidi, based in Marib, added to the US government’s designation list live in Yemen, where they are helping Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) pursue its long-term strategy of seizing parts of the country.
The 6th one of the six designated jihadists who works for the Islamic State is Salmi Salama Salim Sulayman Ammar. He provided substantial support for the Islamic State group’s affiliate in the Sinai Peninsula. He was accused of moving hundreds of thousands of dollars, as well as weapons and ammunition, from Libya to the Sinai.
