OVER 280 KILLED IN BAGHDAD ISIS’ BOMBINGS

Over 280 people have been killed and hudreds injured, on late Saturday 07/02/2016 morning, in an explosion claimed by the Islamic State group in Baghdad, Iraqi police say. A car bomb exploded near a restaurant and shopping area in the central district of Karrada late on Saturday. A second bomb exploded later in a predominantly Shia area north of the capital, killing another five people

The street was busy with shoppers after sundown in the holy month of Ramadan, which ends this week.

The bombings, among the deadliest in Iraq this year, come a week after Iraqi security forces recaptured the city of Fallujah from Islamic State (ISIS) militants. But the Shiite forces advancing to traditional Sunni areas fuels the Sunni-Shia tension all over the Middle East especially at the end of Ramadan

** The death toll from Sunday’s suicide bombing in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, has risen to 250 !, the Iraqi government said,on Wednesday 07/06/2016,, making it the deadliest such attack since the 2003 US-led invasion .
