37 KILLED IN IRAQ’S SHIA SHRINE BOMBING

An attack on a Shiite Sayyid Mohammed shrine and a nearby market in Balad, 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of the Iraqi capital.Baghdal, on Friday 07/08/2016, has killed 37 people and wounded over 60, Iraqi official said, just hours before Iraq’s prime minister fired Baghdad’s security chief as public anger mounted over Baghdad’s Karada bombings that killed, eventually, 300 people.
The Thursday 07/07/2016 night attack began with a volley of mortar fire on nearby market in Balad, A suicide bomber first targeted policemen guarding the shrine’s entrance, allowing a second bomber to push into the courtyard with nine gunmen, who targeted security forces and civilians who had gathered inside to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. A third bomber was killed before he detonated his explosives, police officials said.
It seems the Islamic State is inflaming a religious sectarian war between Sunnis and Shiites in fragile Iraq as their response to Shiite militias military advance to traditional Sunni areas in Ramadi and Fallujah ..
