– MADRID TERROR SUSPECTS
The Madrid terror suspects were a group of 12 Muslims, that included also Faisal Allouch, Naima Oulad Akcha and her brother Khalid Oulad Akcha, living in Madrid, Spain, who were connected through social, family or work circles to the Madrid Trains Bombing perpetrators and were arrested between 03/13-19/2004 as possible suspects in the heinous terror attack.
The interrogation of the group led to “Operation Nova” and the exposure of the MARTYRS FOR MOROCCO – MFM . Eventually no one of the group was convicted on terror charges whether it is the Madrid attack or the MFM group.
* Abdelouahid Berrak was a business partner of Jamal Zougam and they owned a barber shop together in Lavapies suburb of Madrid. He was acquainted also with Imad Yarkas. Abdelouahid Berrak was arrested, along with Mohamed el-Hadi Chedadi, about a month after the Madrid Trains Bombing, as a suspect in the attack. Abdelouahid Berrak was a member in the cell led by Faisal Allouch and was, eventually, charged only of being a member in the “MARTYRS FOR MOROCCO”.
* Abderrahim Zbakh was born in Morocco in 1971 and received an undergraduate degree in chemistry in Tetouan, Morocco. Abderrahim Zbakh moved to Spain in 1999. He worked with Jamal Zougam at his telephone shop. The Spanish police named Abderrahim Zbakh “the Chemist” and blamed him of preparing the explosive used in the Madrid Trains Bombing. Eventually Abderrahim Zbakh was released and was not put on trial neither in the Madrid Trains Bombing nor the MARTYRS FOR MOROCCO affair.
* Mohamed el Hadi Chedadi was born in Morocco in 1966, is the brother of Said Chedadi , lived in Madrid and worked in the construction industry. He was arrested on 04/07/2004 initially for suspicions related to the Madrid Trains Bombing and was charged of belonging to a terrorist group. Like many other MFM members he was already arrested briefly in 11/2001 for possible connection with The 9/11. Mohamed el Hadi Chedadi was released under a special judge order in early 05/2004 and never brought to trial on terror related charges.
* Suresh Kumar is an Indian citizen who converted to Islam. He was arrested, along with Vinay Kohly, on 03/19/2004 on suspicion of collaborating with a terrorist organization, of fraud and of falsifying documents initially related to the Madrid Trains Bombing. Suresh Kumar and Vinay Kohly were arrested mainly because they were linked to the sale of a cellular phone found in one unexploded bomb in Madrid on 03/11/2004. They were eventually released without charges related to terror.
