BAGHDAD BLAST KILLED 68

On Thursday 03/06/2008 morning a roadside bomb exploded in Karada  shopping area in the centre of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. A second bomb targeted, few minutes later, crowds gathered at the site of the first explosion, causing the high death toll. (See – IRAQ conglomerate )

There were no obvious military targets in the area when a roadside bomb exploded first in the predominantly Shiaa area, followed a few minutes later by a second blast caused by a suicide bomber. The death tall of the double attack reached 68 with more then 120 wounded.

According to IRAQ’S official data the number of casulties in Iraq in 02/2008 jumped to 633 from 460 in January – a relative rise of more then 35% to previous month. (See – IRAQ’S VIOLENCE ).
