ARCHBISHOP BODY FOUND IN IRAQ
On 03/13/2008, the Iraqi Chaldean Catholic Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho’s body was found dumped aside a main road outside Mosul. He was abducted, on 02/29/2008, soon after he left Mass in Mosul. And 3 people who had been with him killed by the kidnappers. (See – IRAQ’S VIOLENCE )
Christian from all Churches are persecuted all over the Middle East (Except in Jordan) for many years and seems that the European and Christian world is almost indifferent to their fate. (See – Rami Ayyad case ).
More on Thursday 03/13/2008: – A parked car bomb went off in a commercial district of central Baghdad, killing 11 people and injuring 57, police said. The bombing took place off a bridge in Tahrir Square.
Five members of an Awakening Council were killed when gunmen attacked two separate checkpoints near Tikrit on Thursday, 130 km north of Baghdad.
A suicide bomber attacked an Awakening Council gathering in the village of Zab outside Kirkuk, 320 km North of Baghdad. Three people were killed.
On 05/20/2008 an Iraqi criminal court had imposed the death sentence on Ahmed Ali Ahmed, known as Abu Omar, a local Al Qaeda affiliated terror commander, for Paulos Faraj Rahho’s murder (see also -Mosul 08.14.07).
