* Mohamed Zahran Hashim, the Colombo Bombings leader and mentor , was born in the Muslim coastal town of Kattankudy in 1985 ,
Zahran Hashim was 12 years old when he began his studies at the Jamiathul Falah Arabic College. He was a nobody, with no claim to scholarship other than ambition.
Zahran Hashim was practicing violence against other non Muslim faiths for years. Wanted by the Police Zahran Hashim went into hiding in 2017. Some alleged followers of Zahran vandalized Buddhist statues in central Sri Lanka in 2018.
Zahran Hashim formed a Jihadi circle inspired by I.S.I.S and comprised mainly of relatives , named Watani ( National) Thowheed Jamath. The very group that carried out the Colombo Bombings on 04/21/2019 .
Zahran Hasim’s name appears on a memo, dated April 11/2019 and signed by Sri Lanka’s Deputy Inspector General of Police, which was circulated among a range of security agencies. It references the red flags raised about Zahran, and specifically warns of attacks on churches.
On the morning of Easter,04/21/2019, Zahran Hashim blew himself up at the Shangri-La hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s Capital, as guests took breakfast in the Hotel’s cafe.
