16 KILLED IN A MISSILES STRIKE
At least 16 people were killed on 03/16/2008 early morning, in a missiles strike on a house in South Waziristan, Pakistan. According to local news agencies 7 were foreign Islamic fighters, probably from the Arab World, the other were from the family living in the house and Dr. Arshad Waheed whowas running a clinic in Wana (see – Dr. Waheed Brothers ).
The strike was carried out by an USA unmanned aircraft – UAV and is similar to the attack carried out in South Waziristan, on Wednesday 02/27/2008 evening, (See – Waziristan 02/27/2008 )
The frequency and accuracy of those attacks indicates a significant improvement in USA intelligence in Afghanistan. Since the targets are often foreigner Arabs it suggests a better cooperation with Arab countries’ intelligence too.
Israel uses, for long time, unmanned aircrafts for pinpoint target killing of terror activists, mainly in Gaza strip. It seems that the right framework, method and technique come from the Israelis.
