HAJJI ABDULLAH QARDASH – THE NEW ISIS LEADER

 

Al-Haj Abdullah Qardash – known as Hajji Abdullah al-Afari (from the Uraqi border town with Syria Tel Afar ) or “The Professor” is an Iraqi Turkman born in Tal Afar in the mid 70s, is a former Iraqi senior military officer who once served under late leader Saddam Hussein like many other senior figures in ISIS . Abdullah Qardash was jailed in 2003–2004 by the US authorities with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Camp Bucca, a detention facility in Basra.

Haji Abdullah Qardash became one of the omer circle lieutenants of since Camp Bocca common time. Haji Abdullah Qardash was earlier a religious commissar in Al Qaeda before joining the Islamic State. Haji Abdullah Qardash was also a confidante of Abu Alaa al-Afri, Baghdadi’s previous deputy, who was killed in a US helicopter gun raid in 2016.

There were confirmed reports that Qardash may have died in 2017.

Abdullah Qardash al-Afari was said to have been nominated by Abu Bakar al Baghdadi in 08/2019 to run ISIS

Ultimately, ISIS chose Abu Ibrahim al-Qurayshi to replace Baghdadi, and Abu Hamza al-Qarashi to succeed Muhajir (  Mostafa Mahamed Farag ) in an audio message released on 10/31/2019. There are speculations that the unknown Abu Ibrahim al-Hashemi al-Qurayshi could be another nom de guerre for Haji Abdullah Qardash al-Afar.

Indeed, according to the British ‘The Guardian’, on 01/20/2020, the new leader of Islamic State has been confirmed as Amir known by the nom de guerre Haji Abdullah also known as bdullah Qardash whose real name is Mohammed Abdul Rahman al-Mawli al-Salbi.

Al-Salbi is considered to be one of the most influential ideologues among the now depleted ranks of Isis. Born into an Iraqi Turkmen family in the town of Tal Afar, he is one of the few non-Arabs among the now depleted ranks of IsiISIS .
