ABU IZZADEEN SHOT DEAD IN LONDON
>Abu Izzaddeen was born on in 04/18/1976 in Hackney, East London to a Jamaican family as Trevor Brooks. In 1994 Abu Izzaddeen converted to Islam with his older brother Abu Abdul Rahman.
Abu Izzaddeen became an Islamic activist who preached violen Jihad against the Western culture and implementation of Islamic law – Shariaa in Britain. He speaks fluently Arabic and is a communication engineer by profession.
Abu Izzaddeen nominated himself as Imam and headed a small radical Islamic group – Al Ghurabaa that glorified Islamic terror, including the London 7/7 suicides attack. Al Ghurabaa was outlawed in UK in 10/2006.
Abu Izzaddeen was arrested under his name Trevor Brooks on 02/08/2007 in London on suspicions of inciting against Muslims who served in the British army. In a speech in Birmingham he explicitly encouraged his audience to behead those Muslim British soldiers. He was connected to the Birmingham beheading plot revealed on 01/31/2007.
The radical Muslim leader Anjem Choudary responded to news of the arrest of Abu Izzaddeen by saying that Muslims were now subject to “witch hunt”.
On 04/18/2008 Abu Izzaddeen was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for inciting act of terrorism and for four and a half years for inciting act of terrorism abroad. The terms will run concurrently.
* Befor dawn Tuesday 04/24/2007 anti-terror officers from the London Metropolitan police have arrested six men on suspicions of inciting offences. The arrested men were followers of Abu Izzaddeen . Five arrests took place in London and the sixth in Luton, Bedfordshire. Scotland Yard said the arrests were related to allegations of inciting others to commit terrorism abroad and fund-raising for terror.
