9 KILLED IN BAGHDAD

A day after a series of 7 car bombs went of in Baghdad, killing 37 people (see – Baghdad 04.06.09), another car bomb killed 8 people and injured 18, on Tuesday 04/07/2009, in the Shiite Kadhimiya district of northwest Baghdad, police said.
Security officials said a parked car rigged with explosives exploded around noon Tuesday on a busy commercial street in the neighborhood in northern Baghdad.
Police said the number of casualties could rise.
No doubt that the situation in Baghdad is deteriorating in the last month.
