Central Mosques in the spreading of Global Jihad

QUEENS’S MASJID [MOSQUE] AL-FATIMA

In the early 90s’ Aqeel Khan, a member of the relative moderate Hizb-ut-Tahrir, was one of the founders of the Islamic Center of Queens, New York, also known as Masjid al-Fatima.

BABRI MOSQUE CRISIS 

0n 12/16/1992 a Hindu mob demolished to the ground the Babri Masjid (Mosque) in the Northern Indian town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh State.

LAL-MOSQUE  CRISiS 

The (red) Lal Mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, is a very large compound. The compound contains the Mosque, two madrassas (Islamic schools), dormitories and offices. About 5,000 persons are working, praying and learning in the Lal Mosque.

FINSBURY PARK MOSQUE

Finsbury Park Mosque is located in Northern London, UK. It was built in 1990 but changed radically at the early 2000 when Abu Hamza al-Masri was appointed the Imam of the Mosque. He was considered a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. Abu Hamza al-Masri preached a very radical interpretation of Islam and gathered around him a group of local young frustrated Muslims.
